Security and HIPAA
You shouldn't have to hand your patients and finances to another company's database. So we don't ask you to.
At your office
Your patient data stays on one of your own PCs, on an encrypted disk. The agreement lists the few exceptions, such as encrypted backups.
We have no login
We can reach your portal or data only with a temporary, logged permission from your admin, who can end it at any time.
Backups only you can open
Encrypted every night, and opened only by a recovery code your clinic keeps. We don't keep a copy.
HIPAA
We are your business associate, and a signed BAA is part of the agreement we send you when you sign up. We won't sell your data, use it for marketing or de-identify it without your written permission.
No one can make software "HIPAA certified", because no such certificate exists, so we don't claim it.
Who we are
AIdontics is a separate company. The software was built in a working Open Dental practice, and we don't sell to offices in that practice's local area.
